Father's Day

Well Sunday was a special day for us because it was my first fathers day. I woke up sunday morning and it was late for me, 9:30 AM ( i'm usually up at 6:30). We went to church and a lot of people were asking when he was coming home. We didn't know yet but we are thinking end of July. We asked the nurse and she explained to us what needs to happen and we will know when he will be coming home.
So we went after church and he was wearing clothes. Well the outfit he had on, see below, was for 0-3 months but not a premie outfit. So he was drowning in it. So he isn't quite ready for clothes yet. Then that night for the rest of my fathers day gift I got to hold him, it was a special day for me.

Well Monday night we went to the hospital and his weight was at 3 lbs 15 oz, so he only needed one more oz until he hit 4 lbs. WOW, I can't believe how fast time has gone and how much he has grown. So we were expecting him to be 4 lbs last night but when we came he only gained a half of oz, so he is still 3 lbs and 15 oz. So just baby steps, LOL... Baby steps get it, haha.

We have our baby shower coming up on the 28th so we are excited about it. Hopefully I will finish his room by then. Ethan is working on getting bottle feeding down (he has attempted it for the last 2 days), it's kind of funny because he just licks it a little so in time he will get it down. He is alert more often and knows when mom and dad are at his bed side. He is still in a incubator, he will be out once he can control his body temperature. That is it for now, will let you know more.
